As the years have gone on MTV Base has been playing amd rotating less music video and been more shows such as MTV News, Pimp My Ride UK, My Super Sweet 16 UK and MTV Crib

Their target audience would be the youth subculture in between 16 to 24. The channel focuses on music of the RnB, Hip Hop, Soul and urban. This type of genre’s are popular with the youth subculture.
