Fantasia
Fantasia is an animated film produced by Walt Disney. This had animations set to classical music and had no dialogue. It only has dialogue from the narrators

Panoram
Panoram is a visual jukebox that played music with a filmed image, it has the same effect of today’s music video. This was popular during the 1940’s in the United States

Soundies
Soundies were an early version of a music video and included short dance sequences. Soundies were played on panoram jukeboxes machine music which were coin operated and was played in nightclubs, bars, restaurants, factory lounges, and amusement centers.

Scopitone
Scopitone is a type of jukebox featuring a 16 mm film component. It was a forerunner of music video

MTV is an American cable television network based in New York City that launched on August 1, 1981.[1] The original purpose of the channel was to play music videos guided by on-air hosts known as VJs.[2] Today, MTV still plays a limited selection of music videos, but the channel primarily broadcasts a variety of popular culture and reality television shows targeted at adolescents and young adults




Youtube
YouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. Three former PayPal employees created YouTube in February 2005. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion, and is now operated as a subsidiary of Google. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos,


Ipod
The iPod is a portable media player designed and marketed by Apple and launched on October 23, 2001. The product line-up includes the hard drive-based iPod Classic, the touch screen iPod Touch, the video-capable iPod Nano, and the compact iPod Shuffle. iPod Classic models store media on an internal hard drive, while all other models use flash memory to enable their smaller size. iPods can also serve as external data storage devices. Storage capacity varies by model, ranging from 2GB for the iPod Shuffle to 160GB for the iPod Classic.

The timeline shows how music videos have been consumed to the audiences over time. In the beginning of the timeline the only way for audience to consume a music video was via cinema with fantasia or going to a nightclub or going to a bar to see a music video. However over time it has changed with famous artists and groups like Elvis Presley and the Beatles being popular fans would of wanted to see them all the time so top of the pops and MTV allowed the audience to be able to consume audiences their front rooms. However to watch it on TV was limited because it was only on selected hours like top of the pops or the music video was selected for you like MTv. YouTube which is a video sharing website is now being consumed by the audiences it is on the internet and the audience can selected what they want to watch.
